Had the opportunity to re-enlist on the USS Olympia back in 1991. Was a splendid affair for all who attended. The staff was great and the tour was one of the best I have ever had. Thank you for a great memory.

Did not get to tour, but walking around the ship was very pretty and inspiring.

The Olympic number (English: RMS Olympic) belongs to the White Star Shipping Company. It is the No. 1 ship of the Olympic-class cruise ship of the White Star Company, and the sister ship of the Titanic and the British. It is also a masterpiece of human navigational technology. It started construction at Harlan Wolf Shipyard on December 16, 1908. There are a total of 16 new electric watertight cabins in the ship, and it is claimed that the 4 cabins will not sink even if water enters. The ship’s 29 boilers can output a total of 50,000 horsepower, with an average speed of 21 knots and a maximum speed of 23 knots. In terms of its size, it was definitely a high-speed cruise ship at that time. At 11 o'clock in the morning on October 20, 1910, amid the cheers of Lord Peiry, the Governor of Ireland, and the people on both sides of the strait, the hull of the huge ship slowly slipped off the slipway. The Olympic was the largest and most luxurious passenger ship at the time.
