Kearney Police Department

Our family was stopping over in Kearney for one night on our way back home when we were caught in the flood in July 2019. Everyone at the Kearney Police Dept. that we had the fortunate opportunity to connect with was kind and so helpful. They rode with me in a front loader to go look at our flooded vehicle and very nicely pointed us in the best direction when trying to figure out where to go. Thank you for all your help.

A few minutes past curfew so I was one block away from my house because I was trying to go back to my house then a officer stopped me and said that I was running from him even though I was wearing flip flops and I didn't even see him until he was right next to me. But that is just my experience. Overall they are a good police department.

In November 2009, I filed a formal complaint against Deputy Clint Kirscher. I was informed in writing that my complaint was sustained and Deputy Kirschner was disciplined. No complaint number was released. Deputy Kirschner has a serious pattern and practice of mistreatment towards women, more specifically former family members, as well as towards myself. He could also care less about dying people. I was informed that Deputy Kirschner has since been promoted. My calls to Captain Anderson not returned. This agency uses confidentiality law to hide and cover up misconduct. Avoid at all costs.

Not a professional group of officers.

The officers are very courteous, understanding, and vigilante. They protect us well.
