2 Years ago, we ordered a new front door and garage service door from Lamperts in Lake Elmo. The Salesman provided direction to me on how to measure our existing doors to make sure our order was correct and he walked me through the many options and pricing to narrow down the final selection. This help was critical in making our installation go smoothly. Having a quality door that was measured properly meant DIY installation by my husband and a friend went smoother than expected. Recently we had another unexpected project hit our plate and we needed some specialty T&G. I sent an e-mail over the weekend detailing what we needed. Monday they contacted me to clarify a few questions and by Tuesday they sourced the product and placed my order. The service I have experienced has been great down to delivery and the cost has been extremely competitive for the quality of product received.
Maybe if they would answer their phone I wouldn't have had to drive to the store to be told by a grouchy sales person they don't carry the product I was told by a distributor that they do carry. Cripes, I get better customer service from the pimply faced kids at Menards.
Lampert is a good place to go for more custom building materials than you can get in a big box store. Their hours are a bit short and the website doesn't have online browsing capabilities, but the selection and service are good when you go into the store.
Very poor service. No one calls you or informs you about your order after calling multiple times. No one seems to know what is going on or can give you an answer. If possible go somewhere else. This place sucks up a lot of your time.
This location is one of the most unreliable and unprofessional locations I’ve ever dealt with. My patio sliding door was put in my newly built house with wavy glass. We caught this and had our builder get a replacement ordered. That was in the middle of April this year. In between that time, they managed to break the replacement order loading it on their truck for delivery and then we get to today when we’ve finally been able to get a date on the calendar (after they’ve been unresponsive to get this scheduled) for this to be replaced. They drop off the glass early this afternoon, “apologizing” for it taking this long to tell us their Andersen rep will be out to put it in between 4-4:30. It’s now 7pm and no one has showed up without any warning. Seriously, don’t waste your time with these guys. Just a straight up headache that no one deserves to deal with.
