It's been a pleasure working with Steichen Real Estate. I've bought and sold using this business. Its easy and convenient.

Now that we have gotten semi settled in, I want to share a little about our experience with Mike at Steichen Realty in Austin.nnMike was never on time, not even to show us homes. Not once did he show our home to anyone and I am the one who wrote our listing which led to people ACTUALLY coming to look. He had a whopping one to two liner on the listing in broken sentences. His reply to everything was “oh it’s Covid” but once I wrote up the listing the right way we had calls the day after he posted it.nnHe didn’t return phone calls. When he did he pretended he was calling me and not returning my call after the three or four voicemails and ten emails I left. He never knew what was going on, mixed things up constantly from numbers to dates and kept asking me the same details over and over again. (Even at closing on our house we bought he gave the attorney the wrong number for money we owed the seller for propane. We had discussed it with both home owners and wrote it down with all 5 of us in the same room at the final walkthrough and yet he gave the wrong number to the closing agent.)nLike WRITE IT DOWN THIS IS YOUR JOB!nWhen we were going to fire him after 6 months, he stepped it up a notch to make us think he could do better, only to really really mess up on closing our purchase. Didn’t order the well test and sewer certification on time, then didn’t order the right things, then didn’t order the right things again. Then didn’t turn in the later work to our lender on time for so long we closed three weeks late instead of a week early. I had to keep calling him with each thing my lender needed to say hey, turn this in. Then he didn’t and days went by. Still nothing. Called again. Straight to voicemail. Because of his mis handling of our closing, we lost four of our laying hens and 3 of our farm rabbits for 4 H. When he talked to us about it he was cold and un caring. Told us “well your friends can take care of you, they are good people.” Then he stopped returning calls altogether in the middle of our sale and our purchase of which he was in charge of both. He began using a CC between our lender and himself to inform us of things. RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! We forgot laundry at our house we sold and he brought it by but instead of knocking on the door he left it on the roof of my daughters car at our friends house without a word to anyone at 8 pm at night. Could have gotten stolen.nnThanks Mike!nnNever showed up to any of the closings. Kept changing what the % of closing costs was every time. One time it was 8% then 6% when we were selling so we payed 3% for our buyer but then 5% when we were buying.nThe first time I told him our closing was delayed a day was the day before our original closing and the day of our final walkthrough. Our sellers were there for it and were explaining how things worked etc. Mike literally lied to the ladies face in front of me and told her she was closing on the house the next day. Then later called me and said it was delayed three more. We caught him lying so many times during this process.nnDidn’t show up to the walkthrough on the sale of our house. We bought our house at long last and they didn’t even have the keys for us. We drove to the property and they had the keys in the doorway which was hanging open and the wind had caught and broken by the time we went out to see if they were there with the keys since the lawyers had no clue.nSeriously would never use again or recommend to my worst enemy!

Very disappointed. For as big as Rochester is, the fair was garbage, not much to check out.. The only thing worth while was the grandstand event.
