First time to do business with bakers gas and welding supplies. Tried placing order in March 8 but web site had a problem called and rep was supposed to fix problem with order followed up following day and they had not got around to it. Called agin on the 10 and was helped by a friendly representative and they toke the time to make sure all items were in stock and placed order with rep and was told they would ship out same day. Followed up on the 16 because no emailed was emailed with tracking unfortunately order had not shipped yet. It’s looking like my order will land on the 23 or 24th. I wish some one would have been upfront with me and let me know how long it’s going to take. 16 days is entirely too long to have to wait when your expectations of you items will land in about four days.
I'm just not sure what I could have done differently. I ordered a new Trailblazer through the lease company they recommend. I also tried to order an extension cable on the same ticket. I didn't get any updates about the order as it went through the process and finally got the tracking info 2 days after it shipped (to the wrong address). Several emails asking about the cable and free cover (Black Friday special) were completely ignored which meant that I didn't get the cable and now have a welder without the cable I need to run my Suitcase on it. Had I known it didn't get on the ticket I could have ordered it and had it here. I guess the free cover was a hoax as that issue was never responded to either.nnI'll be buying my accessories and equipment elsewhere from now on as well as no longer advising my students in the plasma cutting workshops I do to get their Hypertherm torches and consumables from this vendor. They have a solid reputation, I have no idea what I did wrong to be treated this way this time....
Horrible customer service and horrible or very lack of communication. I ordered something and ordered the wrong size realized literally moments after making the order. I immediately sent a email, didn't hear anything back 2 days later so I sent another email. 3 days later im told they can't do anything bc it is to far into the process. I then ask to exchange for the correct size once again no email back for days so I email AGAIN 3 days later im told I have to pay $13 shipping to send them the package back that they were never suppose to send me and then another $13 in shipping for them to send me the correct size. So I ask to just do a return and be done with them and once again nothing. Was suppose to be a Christmas gift but it has taken a month just to get a respond from them. I won't even be able to get a return and be able to replace the $60 gift brute Christmas
worst customer service ever for a 1st time buyer free shipping 2 days its been 2 weeks and i still don't have my order. 1st I was told they don't have the gloves in stock now they dont have the hat in stock stay away from this company if you want reliable customer service and need welding equipment right away.
Service and communication used to better but have gone down hill. Placed an order on April 17th and its been almost a month and have not got proper communication from anyone from their sales dept. Will be switching vendors and go with someone who actually communicates and answer their customers on time.
