If you are looking to get fingerprinted, they do it at the 'Records' department. Charge $20 for a set of two cards, they provide the FD-258 cards themselves too. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Park in the front, GPS take you to the back of the building. Once you walk in through any entrance, don't worry ppl will tell you where to go!

I had to deal with the Canton police this evening regarding a man with a disability who is homeless and had nowhere to go. He is also deaf. Both officers were patient, friendly and professional. I can't say enough about the character of both of these men, and I'm sad I didn't get their names. They came to the hotel and ended up staying for at least an hour trying to help him. Story has a happy ending because they found him shelter and transported him. Big thanks to Canton for having officers who actually care about the people they serve. We all know there are other cities in metro Detroit who aren't as generous and understanding. If I get their names I'll update this post. They know who they are though, and they should be proud of the job they do.

Just seen a Canton police officer changing a women's flat tire on the side of Michigan Avenue. Today is the first snow storm of the year..truly horrible conditions...Much respect for this man, for this officer who went way beyond the norm to help out..it was freezing and snowing while he worked on it.I remember when society respected the police officers who risk their lives every day for us...I hope that people who have good encounters with the police tell them about it they need to know that their is a huge part of the public who truly appreciate them and all that they do.

Called them needing help with a problem. 3 hours later no one showed up, but the people seem very friendly on the phone.

I was in a car accident a couple of days ago and the police officer was there within a couple minutes of calling. They were also very friendly and caring.
