Although I live about 20 miles from Durand, a few days ago was my first time visiting the Durand Station Depot. If you're a rail fan this should be a stop for you. Inside the depot is a railroad museum with some old tools of the trade, old photos, and a little gift shop. They also have a large electric model railroad that fills two rooms. It's pretty cool! There's a few rooms on the upper level with items in it, but I'm not sure what was in the rooms. I didn't go inside of them. Also on the upper level they have a hall/ballroom or whatever they call it for events. I'm not sure, but it might be available to rent. But you should call the depot to be sure. Outside the depot there's a few picnic tables under a pavilion, so you could enjoy a nice spring, summer, or fall day as the trains pass by.

Beautiful old train station, still in use.
My FAVORITE train station is Durand! It is a true old train station and has a large waiting area and a very large FREE parking lot. It is decorated beautifully at Christmas.
