We had water backing up in our basement and they got out that same day on a Friday. They Cleaned our septic tank and discovered a broken pipe. During these crazy times Woods was able to assess that this situation needed to be fixed and had our pipe replaced by Tuesday. They were professional and worked with us to assess the problem and took their time to resolve the issue and limit the amount of digging in our yard. Very happy with the response and support.

I just recently found and used woods Utica septic service for an emergency pump job in the area.nnThey were great to work with, on time and very fair on pricing, even though I was in a bind.nnDo not hesitate to call and schedule pumping service with Woods!nnIn regards to the review before mine, I wish I could reply as I find it very funny this lonely divorced Karen has nothing better to do during a pandemic than relive the last 3 years of her life and find something to complain about ( since no stores and managers are around for her to demand to talk to)nnShe is leaving a negative review, in 2020, for work she had completed in 2017, and is only now upset that she didn’t get anymore bids? Or other prices? Nothing in the review complaining about Woods Utica Septic and the work that was performed, only that she did not get other bids, and wrote two checks? I don’t see how this is the problem of Woods septic, sounds like they did a great job, completed everything that was expected, she paid, and was happy with the work for 3 years.nnIt’s amazing people like this actually think they are doing the right thing by leaving reviews of this sort. Typical 2020 Karen.nnCarry on all have a great day.

Being an older divorced woman who lives alone, I learned several valuable and important lessons after working with The Woods & Utica Septic Service. Firstly, I learned never to get only one estimate for any home/property repair, and that estimate should always be in writing, not just verbally. Secondly, to make sure that there is an itemized write-up with a price for each piece of work and/or materials that might be required prior to the start of the job. And, to check and compare that list to the work completed and materials that were used at the conclusion of the job. Thirdly, never allow a workman to try and get an extra or another job from you at the same time while he is working on the job that he was hired to do! It’s mooching for money, and they can do that on their own time! Therefore, only hire professionals who focus and concentrate on the work that they are hired and paid to complete! Finally, I sincerely hope by learning these valuable and important lessons I can avoid being ripped-off!nnAt the end of the approximately 4 hour job (4/26/17) I was to pay the bill for $5,800.00. The receipt listed “replace pump and electric plus machine time.” I was asked by Rick Throop to write two checks. One to Wood & Utica Septic Service for $4,000.00. The second check was to Rick Throop for $1,800.00. My bank sent me copies of the two checks, The $4,000.00 check was stamped on the back “Pay to the order of PNC Bank for Deposit Only Woods & Utica Septic Service. The $1,800.00 check to Rick Throop has an illegible signature on the back. No mention of “Deposit only Woods & Utica Septic Service.” Also, different bank and different numbers, and it was cashed weeks after the $4,000.00 check was cashed.
