Mountaineer Plumbing

I have several rental properties in Chateau Hills Michigan which needed a water heater replacement so i went online and found mountaineer plumbing. Called them up and I was impressed with the customer experience they gave me. Matt sent one of his techs to help me out and assess my issue. It turned out that 3 other water heaters were starting to leak and I didn’t even know about it. They were able to take care of my situation. At the end of it all, my tenants are now set for a while and I don’t have to worry about anything. The price I paid was more than fair and the results speak for itself. They are now my go to company for anything related to my plumbing needs. Thank you Mountaineer Plumbing for helping me out.

Very responsive, quick service! Much needed given the lack of plumbing availability in Grand Rapids. They even gave a discount on service for not being able to make the same day appointment that was originally scheduled. Chris was very professional and personable. Will definitely use them again for any plumbing needs!

Poor service and does not stand by their work. They created multiple delays due incorrect installation of valves and hardware that upon further investigation were not done to code. I had a hot water recirculating loop installed but they put check valves on the cold water line which is needed but also requires a thermal expansion tank which they did not install. This has caused the hot water pressure valve to continually trip dumping water onto the floor. I’ve been dealing with and fixing all of their mistakes for weeks now. After paying them thousands of dollars I expected attentive service when I called with issues and instead I got a rude receptionist who would not let me speak to a plumber or the owner who did the installation about the issues. I would recommend anyone searching for a quality plumber to look elsewhere. Plumbing work is expensive enough already and you shouldn’t have to pay for it to be done twice which I had to do when working with Mountaineer.nnResponse: I still have an excellent working relationship with my contractor who no longer utilizes Mountaineer due to their work on this job. I was not rude to anyone who entered my home even though I dealt with multiple issues. When I was treated poorly over the phone I did have an adverse reaction. Per the latest issue I did successfully install a new water heater and was unable to bleed air from the recirculating line that mountaineer installed incorrectly and not per code. I was able to correct all of the mistakes myself and the system is operating well now. Mountaineers response to this review is telling of their treatment towards their customers. A customers attitude should not dictate if a job is done correctly or not. I wasn’t asking for free services only to speak with a plumber to discuss the issue which I was denied on multiple occasions.

Great customer service and same day repair! Tim was professional and provided details on the repair and cost. He also gave a brief summary of how the company is a newer business and already has grown to a new location. With this level of service I can see why. Would recommend 10/10. Also would like to note that with it being an interesting time with covid, Tim arrived to the door wearing a mask and wore a mask during the work. Thumbs up for safety!

10/10 would recommend!nTim and Matt are awesome and gave me a great deal on fixing my old shower valves that constantly leaked. Really appreciate the time and effort these guys put in to work around my old house.
