This place is my home school and will always be in my heart but there's so many fights that happen and drama between people that it's just boot learning ground for them.
Many of the best teachers have left, due to belittling attitude of Ms. Thomas. After 5 years our Grandson left and is happier and doing better at Lansing School districts Gardner school.
My orchestra teacher used to work there since March 2018.
Six grade teacher is not organized. We don't even get half of the information that should be sent home. If my daughter didn't have her friend's there since kindergarten I would pull her out. So done with this school
It’s better than most public schools in terms of academics but this school is terrible. Any mistakes are the student’s fault by default, and they are very unprofessional when it comes to issues on a student by student basis. They preach creativity and the like, yet they cannot keep an art, music, or technology teacher for more than a year. They squash creativity on a daily basis in the classrooms, and the seventh grade teachers are very bad about this. The hallways are always smelly, and most eighth grade classrooms are as well.nThe school does have good diversity, so that is a plus, yet the positives I can think of are overweighted by the sad negatives.nI’ve grown up at WPCA, so it hurts that I can’t write more positively about it.nnWould I recommend WPCA? No. Absolutely not.
