While we’ve only lived in Lansing for a few years, Jose’s has become a staple dining choice. The sandwiches are extremely flavorful and delicious. I fully recommend getting the rice and beans. They are top notch.nnSupport your local businesses!

The search is over! I’ve been looking for a place that knows their way around rice and beans. This took me back to my abuelas kitchen. The beans are perfectly flavorful that a bit of nostalgia ran wild in my brain. As for the Cuban sandwich- this was right on the money. Bread pressed just right, with all the proper fixings expected from anyone who knows a thing or two about Cubanos. The owner recommended my wife get the Aurora, and what an amazing choice this was. Sliced turkey grilled, bacon, mayo, and guac- pure heaven. I strongly encourage anyone and everyone to go down to Jose’s. What made it above and beyond was the owner. Such a sweet hearted individual, extremely polite, and dedicated to his craft. I will be back! (Jose’s Williamston)

José’s is perfect comfort food—it just makes your soul happy. The sandwiches are amazing, but even the beans are awesome and flavorful.

Try the Midnight or Island sandwich or both in the same sitting like I did. You will not be disappointed.

Used to really enjoy this place, whatever changes that were made to staff in the last year or so really tanked the quality. The middle aged couple that ran it were much better cooks.
