Love this school! Wonderful, caring staff and teachers!

If I could give this school negative stars I would. My child attended this school one year and I regret the entire year. My kindergarten student spent over half a day in the office for rolling his eyes at a recess lady. While they attempted to get my husband to leave work to come and pick him up for this offense. Another time he spent another day in the office for playing with pencil erasers on his desk. I always believed what I was told by the staff without question...until I caught the guidance counselor, and an aid dragging him back toward class by his arms (they had jerked his arms so hard his feet left the ground) I had brought him to the office bc he was having a melt down (he didn't want to go to school, and was having surgery the next day, and I thought the councilors would be able to help) they asked me to leave saying it might be easier on us all, and I agreed...I had forgotten something so after it quieted down I reentered to find them abusing my child...when I demanded they released him the aid turned on me shouting and shaking her finger in my face...then later locked herself in the bathroom. My son never returned, and we now participate in school of choice. I filed a complaint with the district as both his grandmother and I were witnesses and submitted written complaints...there was never a response or action. All parents should be aware and if your child starts to hate school and becomes reclusive and almost dispondent these are the red flags I missed, please don't ignore them!
