A great educational look into the past. A must for all families as they pass through the Fairgrounds. Live demos, tools of past skills and trades and THE VERY LAST telephone switchboard in the USA.
Love the old farm implements!
I could spend hours just wandering through this area...there are so many items to look at and they are maintained well. I wish there were a few older farmers that were there to tell stories or explain more for those of us with questions. I love how it combines the kitchen barn and all the wagons in one section and has several demonstration booths for canning, sewing and other details unique to Maine.
Gret museum, great fair.
First time at the fair. Will be going back next year!
