I'm so glad we made it out to Castine. It was such a lovely, peaceful and friendly place to visit. I really liked they had a map of the town readily available near the main lot. That made exploring so easy. Talking with the woman in the historical society was also enlightening. Everyone we ran into was super friendly.
Love all the history thats in the small town of Castine, and the Historical Society is the best place to see some amazing artifacts and beautiful paintings
A well curated museum. The exhibit (2018) on socially active women of Maine is excellent. I do wish they had a little more on Castine's French history.
Nice little historical museum with a current exhibit of 2 gay women from last century and another about the revolution. Pleasant lady at the place.
