Lewiston Police Department

I have been part of the Lewiston Community for more then 30 years. The Lewiston maine police department is Different From most others... We have had a lot of problems in are town, Some with are law enforcement, Some with are Politicians, even a few with are Fire Departments. Over all they Do there best to keep a safe Community.

They were willing to look into my sisters wallet being stolen (that included her drivers licence). Auburn department wouldnt help. Thankfully the Lewiston department were willing to help so my sister didnt have to go to someones dorm to get her wallet back.

Thank you lpd for threatening to bring me to jail for registration. I asked the the first officer if I could use the phone to call work so so I wouldn't be fired and when the trainer came up to the car he yelled get the #uck off the phone. The police officer opened my vehicle door without permission and yelled of I don't sign the fine I was going to jail. All because I was on a new phone and was having trouble signing in to the accounts. Anthony t zawispowshi and his trainer made me feel so uncomfortable that I was shaking. Horrible service. After the incident I went to file a complaint at the station and was told there was nothing he could do about it and to get out and stop wasting his time. I would not feel comfortable calling lpd for a serious incident
