I have respect for law enforcement and have never had any bad experiences... until today. My husband was at city hall paying a parking fine. When he asked to speak with an officer about the parking issues in our neighborhood the officer immediately had an attitude with us. He then stood around while we were paying the fee, as if we were causing a problem. He then made sure to write our information on his notepad and put it in his pocket. I am disgusted and disappointed in how we were treated today. I left feeling that we will be harassed in the future by law enforcement rather than be protected by them. Shame on you Marquette Heights Police Department! I now will have to explain to my children why you can not trust/depend on police.
