They charged $499.50 and totally failed but later the company reached out to me and offered to reimburse $385.50 of their initial fee. Their workers DID spend the time but did NOT solve the problem so I felt that only a partial refund was appropriate.nnI hired another licensed plumber, Accurate Plumbing & Heating in Chicago, who had a more flexible snake and were able to solve the issue in less than half the time. The Accurate Plumbers also seemed to have a better understanding of older buildings. They fixed the problem for $179 in one visit.nnAlthough I am displeased that Strenger could not fix the problem while another company could, I must say that their staff were gracious and honest with me. I don't have a lot of experience hiring plumbers but, compared to the other company, Strenger's prices do seem a bit high.nnStrenger maintains that their plumbers are VERY experienced and frequently work on multi-story buildings. Why they were so unsuccessful with my clogged kitchen drain is puzzling. Nonetheless, they greatly value customer satisfaction, and their reputation, so they offered a fair partial refund.nnVintage buildings are common in my city and the one I live in is quirky. It's like working on an old timepiece,not every watch repair person can do it well. Strenger plumbers are likely quite good in most other cases but seemed out of their comfort zone here.nnStill, considering the integrity they displayed in our dealings and the responsive, proactive behavior of their office staff, I think they are probably a better plumbing company than is evidenced by this one job. Despite not being able to fix my problem they seem to be honest merchants.

The professionals at HT Strenger exceeded our expectation. The process from booking an appointment, evaluation/installation and payment were very easy. The team did not pressure us to purchase goods or services that were not necessary. The installer/plumber was respectful of our home. The area was clean and tidy when he left.

I had an emergency where my pipes under my home were leaking a terrible sewage smell. Other companies quoted me insanely overpriced numbers to complete the job. HT Strenger came out and for a fair price, and completed the work. I’m so thankful they were able to help in my time of need. I would refer them to anyone with a plumbing need!

Had great service from Strenger today. Mark was on time (early-even better!), friendly, and knowledgeable. Pricing is fair and honest. I highly recommend this company.
