My expectations were very high because the Vernon Hills location was highly recommended. The hostess sat us with the worst attitude, the waitress showed up 5 min after we were seated to take a drink order, didn't bring any water to the table, waited longer to get our food order, and even longer for our food to come out. It was just 2 people. Other people that came in 15-20 min after us, were seated without the attitude and served water immediately and their food came out before ours. By the time my food came out the plate was barely warm. The dish itself didn't taste good at all. The positive is that it was removed from my ticket. That's why I gave 2 stars instead of 1.

Tried to go around noon today. zero social distancing and capacity limit measures in place inside.Tent outside appeared to be full as well. Hour and a half wait to be seated even at counter was what they were telling people. Front of the house people were not paying attention to walk-ins who would just cut in line to get their name in ahead of those of us who where waiting socially distant to approach the desk. And there were 3 people working the desk all chatting happily with one another at times. I was told it would be just a few minutes to sit at counter. I waited about 15 then went somewhere else to eat that was following social distance and capacity protocol. I got a text about an hour after I left that my seat was ready.nnNever again.

The food was super good. I got one of their skillets and their pancakes is honestly one of the best restaurant pancakes I’ve had. The reason for the docked star is because I was seriously disappointed with their social distancing protocols. While all the staff had masks, I was seated in their outdoor patio tent and it was definitely not six feet, not even four feet between each table. Why even bother to have outdoor seating if the protocols aren’t going to be followed, seems backwards to me. I’ll have to come back after I become vaccinated or once the pandemic blows over.

The dine in service might be different, but what a disappointment it was having the take out. To start first, their parsley fries are decent until you hit the bottom of the container, then it just becomes sponges that soak up all the oil and grease. Also, theres just no salt whatsoever. The side salad there was also a disappointment. The salad dressing taste like a lemon meringue and the lettuce was gritty, so please wash the greens. Next the “no yolk scrambler” had no flavor. No seasoning and just nothing on the egg. The tomato on the side had more seasoning than the actual meal. The egg was just so wet and just disgusting and they also forgot the side of potatoes. Also, who gives pancakes but no syrup? Overall, my take out experience here was not the best, but I hope things get better for them and their chefs.

So good! Yummiest breakfast I've had in a long time. It was hard to pick just one thing, it all sounded so good. 10/10 would recommend. Also 10/10 playlist. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
