Gilberts Police Department

I was home one night and heard what I thought was the sound of thunder extremely loud and extremely close almost at my door step is or so it seemed. So I looked out front and noticed the noise stopped but started again this time quieter. I look to see if it was a truck or maybe hear the freight train but none of it came from either of the two. That's when I noticed it was coming from a vehicle leaving the stop sign. So I immediately just thought wow those brakes need to be changed.. Then about 15 min later I hear the sound again and when I looked it was definitely coming from the car that was at the stop sign before. I got a funny feeling about it and asked my wife if she heard the noise which she did. I decided to look up the non emergency line for the Police and told dispatch what happened and that the car was sitting at the entrance of the subdivision for a few minutes. Then about 30 min later I head outside to take out the trash for the following day and saw the cherries flashing and long behold a Police officer a fire truck and an ambulance arrived and had the vehicle pulled over. I went over to make sure everything was ok with that person then I come to find out, it was an old woman who had Diabetes and didn't know where she was or had any sense of direction due to her blood sugar level. I'm happy with the prompt response from the officers and the kindness of the officer that took care of this woman. I feel God put it in my heart to call and I feel like I had something to do with saving her life, which inclined me to make this review not for myself but for dispatch and for the officer that helped this woman get to safety and to seek the treatment that was greatly needed.nnGod bless you Gilberts Police.nnThank You for your work...
