This is an amazing school. I came here in Kindergarden and left after 4th grade. The teachers here are really supportive and I was never bored. The activities here are super fun and creative. The playground was so much fun! I still remember everything I used to do there and the people you meet here are unforgettable. I am now at my 4th school and Whittier will always be my favorite. Every student that comes here should be greatful for their teachers and staff.

Horrible experience school has no compassion for the childrens needs and safety... Just moving to a new area from out of state we are just 1 house out of the boundry for bus pick up....the bus stop is literally across the street and they refuse to let a 10 and 6 year old ride the bus....they would rather them walk 3/4 of a mile in the cold alone... My children have anxiety and are very afraid to even attempt to walk...not like i would let them anyways..with all the missing children and abductions and known gang activity there is no sympathy.....the superintendent did not care nor give me the time of day..they asked for a medical note from a dr to prove my kids have anxiety which i provided and still they refuse to let my children ride their bus...im apalled they would expect such young kids walk that far alone in the cold and snow in a new enviroment ...does anyone have any recommendations or should i attempt to take legal action...whos responsibility would it be if these girls would be abducted??? Then what?!!!.i am a single mother trying to keep a job and the kids not being able to ride the bus is making it very diffucult near impossible due to this negligence of whittier school northlake.....what a great welcome to the city of north lake and district 87
