Cook County Forest Preserve Police

I went to the forest preserve in glenview on late street to get out of apartment. I was parked with my head angled down looking at video on my phone. I don't know how along the officer was there, but I looked up and a forest preserve cop parked parallel to the parking space lines (i was in the space correctly) parked there watching me. If he needed to watch me, he could have done so from any myriad if parking spaces because 90% of the lot was empty. But to park right next to me? A clear intimidation tactic. Yes, I am a black woman. Yes I pay taxes to cook county. Yes, i live in the northshore. I know complaining about this just opens door for them to harass me further, but if you stand for nothing you will fall for anything.

CCFP representative gave me an alternative, have a trial and pay over $1000 in fine for, two equestrian tickets, or only pay the minimum of $75 with a $25 administration fee. GEE, that was a no brainer. You are not going to win so just pay the fines!

When a US citizen from PR is getting harassed, a cop should not just stand there while the harasser continues to be threatening. Lazy, racist and couldn't be bothered. That's all describes this department. #MericaMax
