George, the landlord, only cares about taking your money and charging whatever fees he could hey. I would not recommend dealing with him at all. I lived in 505 w Springfield aug 2016- August 2017 and just moved out. There were at least 5 issues that I told George about and STILL hasn't bother to fix anything as long as he's getting his money. The good thing about this place was the location. Good place but the worst maintenance job ever.

I would really give this place half a star. Of all the apartments ive lived in this town this one had the biggest issues and we had absolutely no help from the landlord who sold us the place. Fyi we paid a grand a month for this place. The office guys are super helpful and understanding but the landlord George is not helpful at all and doesn't give a crap about anyone he just wants your money. Since moving in last October we've had issues with our toilet leaking so much that it started to soak our carpet in the hallway and even leak downstairs which has taken 7 MAINTENANCE VISITS to be toyed with and it's March now still leaking. The basement laundry facilities are the worse I've ever seen there's got to some sort of code being broken down there because you have to walk through and over a bunch of random old items lying around not even organized or placed with care (there's even cat litter and no cat ud83dude40) dusty dirty and moldy smelling not somewhere I feel good cleaning my clothes. Some other complaints: 1. We live on the second floor and can hear every word our downstairs neighbors say and do because the ceiling walls are paper thin. And of course we have the kind of people who are gone all day and up all night partying having sex and just LOUD. 2. WE'VE HAD NO INTERNET WHICH IS INCLUDED IN OUR MONTHLY RENT. The Klatt properties Internet is a joke it's slow and you can't connect a router in our apartment at least. The landlord George is convinced it's our fault and our problem to fix and the nice guys at the office has been here multiple times to try and fix but nothing seems to be working. We haven't been able to use our smart tv or Xbox one YET. 3. The heat here you can't control the temp. In winter when it's on its uncomfortably hot and there's no other option but to shut it on and off or let cold air in.nThe only good thing here is the location to downtown urbana and I like the brick wall we have in our living room. If these apartments were better maintained even renovated a bit they would be great but I don't think the landlord cares enough to please the tenants living here or have a good business. I hope they can get off their butts and get organized but I CAN NOT WAIT TO GET OUT OF THIS PLACE!
