As a child, I learned about Katherine and was filled with joy the first time I visited this museum. I try to visit every year as this place brings back so many memories of my dance career.
Historic! I met Katherine Dunham on several occasions. She was filled with joy, knowledge and blessed by her gifts the creator instilled in her. She traveled much not to mention came home and made a huge impact on her community. My first time visiting the INSIDE of her museum I was amazed (Wish I took pictures). While I was there we honored the late Charmaine Savage, who also was a pillar of the community. 2 for the price of one.

Right down the street from corner block. Like going in looking at Katherine Dunham Artfacts.And music and party's.
Very nice antique feel,,this place has been here since I was a kid a remains amazing...
