If you are blessed with intelligent children like us they seem to thrive here. But I have noticed that the opposite is true in that those that struggle wither. Among the other issues of bullying that never really has corrective measures applied effectively. If I would have had a choice, I would have sent the kids to Carbondale where you learn diversity and tolerance from day one.

If I could give this school less than one star I would. It is a horrible place to send your children, especially if you are new to the area. The teachers and the students treat newcomers horribly. I went there with 2 of my 3 other siblings (the oldest was in high school when we moved into district) and all 3 of us were bullied, and it was more by the teachers than anyone else. The teacher who did it the worst (finney) passed away recently, but I still wouldn't chance it. It got to the point when I was there that I would get in trouble on purpose so I could just sit and read in ISS and eventually got kicked out. Once I left that school my grades, attendance and attitude all improved. Horrible horrible school. Save yourselves the trouble and go somewhere else.

I love this school so much. Their jr.high teachers are awesome.
