Vesterheim The National Norwegian-American Museum & Folk Art School

I've been there nearly 10 years ago. This is such an incredible museum displaying history of decorative painting from Norway. Absolutely beautiful, highly recommended!

Loved the exhibit especially the hand carved wooden spoons and the hardanger.

I'm not a huge museum fan but was blown away by this one. It is so well organized, the displays exceptionally well done and overall it was very engaging. There's an entire log cabin in here, and a handmade boat that crossed the Atlantic. The whole museum is well worth a visit and the people there and at the museum store we're very friendly. Also loved the art gallery part.

Beautiful Norwegian museum. Three floors of wonderful rosemaling and carved pieces plus more. Thankfully, they do have an elevator. A must see if you are in the area.

A delightful museum. Small enough that you can feel you've seen most of it in one trip (but you won't have seen it all!).
