The stay was great, rooms clean, beds comfortable, and a decent breakfast. I docked 1 star, my reason is because during breakfast it was required to wear gloves. I don't have an issue with gloves, I have the issue that the gloves were Latex. Everything that is touched with latex gloves leaves a residue, there are so many people with latex allergies that the majority of hospitals have phased out the use of latex gloves. My wife and a few of I friends that were here could not enjoy breakfast bc of the use of latex gloves.

I’m glad the old Greystone still exists. We were looking forward to our stay in this historic district, and had powerful experiences in Downtown Montgomery.nnBut this cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms at this Hilton-owned property is truly bottom of the barrel, and shocking for a major chain hotel. I can’t underline this enough. The rooms, specifically the furniture, need major refurbishment.nnJudging from the other reviews here, we might have gotten one of the bad rooms. But be forewarned (decent breakfast and friendly staff aside) you may have a very, very bad experience here, as we did.nnBroken fixtures, threadbare and greasy coverings (to the point that the only trustworthy surface to rest on was our bedsheet) - we knew we were getting a bargain rate, but were not prepared for this abject level of disregard, and cut our stay short. I’m not talking about the occasional splash or stain. I’m mean saturated, waxy, edge to edge grease.nnWe’re thrift store shoppers; I’ve dug through plenty of grotty stuff in my life and am not allergic to things that need a good cleaning.nnThis was miles beyond that. I’ve seen better looking furniture discarded by Salvation Army.nnI can’t square that a place with $23 a day Valet parking is the same place that has zero problem letting any customer see or experience what we saw.

Hands down waste of $147. Rooms climate controller did not work, the shower had only scalding hot water, coffee maker in room would not work. Hands down the worst hotel experience I ever remember. The check out clerk wasn’t even apologetic. Simply said we should have called front front desk for another room. Well after settling in at midnight from a long-day. The last the last thing we wanted is pack up, and move children for another room. However, I’ll definitely be sure to not stay here again, and let everyone I know to choose somewhere else if I’m this area.
