They were very gentle when they handcuffed me, and their patrol vehicles are incredibly roomy 11/10 will get arrested by them again

Officers are polite and like to keep a close eye on everything. OPD is always around and very helpful. Just keep 2 car lengths between you and the person in front of you and do the speed limit!!! ud83dude09

Old school police department that shakes down out of towners. Near the end of the month, these police are in full ticket writing mode. I got pulled over for not having a tag on my trailer. After explaining that TN doesn't register trailers, Roscoe P. Coltrane offered to write me a ticket for not wearing my seat belt ( I was wearing it). The alternative was an open container ticket (no alcohol in vehicle, I don't even drink). As he put it, he couldn't do nothing, despite me being fully legal. He also made it clear that showing up to court was a bad idea because he is friends with the judge. So, take the seat belt ticket or face much more expensive bogus charges.

I hope you truely do not need them in an emergency. I dialed 911 at shift change due to reckless drivers and was called back an hour later then told I would have to call the cheif personally and given a number.Two hours later an officer Houser showed up and told me his radar unit only worked at certain angles and for me to call the state troopers along with me to keep my grand kids out of the road that cars had the right of way not pedestrians.
