Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Anniston Oxford

Rooms were clean and the hotel was generally quiet. Staff was kind and helpful. Mama Jenn, who served us breakfast everyday, is the sweetest woman. She radiates joy and was kind. She got to know our names and was patient with my large family. She made our stay memorable, despite being in town for a sad/stressful occasion.

Spent one night. I was driving a 20 Ft Uhaul pulling a trailer and driving around the place I was worried abiut where I would park it. But then I found a spot on the road in front of it, there was already several other big rigs parked so figured it was safe for my little rig.nNice hotel, nice room, nice staff.nCoffee served in the morning, it was good. Better than some gas station quickie marts.

Customer service is good and staff is always welcoming. I stay here periodically because I am in school here and am here frequently for work. Good, safe place to stay!

First the positives. Very nice staff and customer service focused. Rooms are clean for the age of the hotel. Spacious, but some of the space could have been used for insulation between rooms and installing climate controls that actually work. The outside highway noise and conversations both outside and next door turned a night of rest into a 2 hour nap. Even a conversation at normal volume could be heard. Seriously impacting the safety of our trip as neither my wife or I could sleep. Have yet to check out, but can not see any way the see the rating going up from two stars.

It may of been our first time staying here, but it sure is definitely our last, the hallway carpets has stains on them, so do the elevator carpet, so did the carpet in the room, like cleaning lady was in the hall, I asked her for some towels, and she had an attitude from hell, so I had to go to the front desk and get some towels and toilet paper, she never brought us any soap or shampoo, so we had to go to Walmart and buy some, they continental breakfast is only from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., not everybody wakes up at 6:00 a.m. legally, breakfast is supposed to last from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m. they give you no survey card to fill out when you check out, they don't care about the customer, all they care about is profits, next time, we're going to the quality inn where it's only half the cost, and an apology is not good enough, we should be entitled to half a refund
