Cacapon Lodge is a rustic getaway with wonderful scenery. We ate at the restaurant for a work event; the food was superb and service was excellent. We are planning on coming back and staying in the lodge for their mystery dinner theaters sometime in the near future.

Beautiful place to walk, drive, hike or bike. Enjoy looking at lake or the overlook. Bring a picnic.nnInside = Love to visit the great room and have some coffee while reading, playing a game or doing a puzzle.nFront desk staff are helpful but never very welcoming or pleasant.nNever get the smile and warm welcome you would expect.nnThe restaurant has limited hours. I've eaten the food there about a dozen times and can not recommend anything except that i really like their salad with ranch. On my last visit, there was much less on the salad bar ud83dude14

Rustic is still a word as far as the room goes,but the food at our dinner theater buffet was outstanding in both variety and taste. The murder mystery was very entertaining. Our whole evening was well planned.

This is good place to just sit back and relax. The lodge overlooks the golf course and it has a nice view of the woods all around. It feels kind of rustic at the lodge. They are adding on to the building currently and from what I see it's going to be amazing when they get done.
