We stayed at black bear resort January 2021. We spent two nights in cabin #39. It was cozy and clean. The resort is minutes from both Canaan and timberline. The staff was really kind and helpful. The entire process was very easy. Don’t be discouraged by negative reviews about this not being a hotel. For our weekend stay we had plenty of toiletries and towels. You are responsible for laundering the provided towels and stripping your sheets when leaving. There is a simple check list to complete before you go. We plan on using black bear in the future.
Had a lovely weekend here. Well maintained area. Rustic feel but not run down. Quick drive to Davis and beautiful hikes. Would come back.
Stayed there for two nights. The place is beautiful. The cabins are set up in woods, out of all the traffic and noises. There is parking in front of every cabin. Highly recommend this place for a quite stay.
We love it here! We stay at least 3 times a year when we can just to get away with the kids a few days.
Stayed 3 night. They only allowed us 6 towles for the 3 night for 4 of us. Even asked and they said this isn't a hotel. Then when I went to get a shower the water never got hot, after wating 40 minutes I gave up. We will never stay here again. The place was very clean but not having hot water and clean towel made it bad place for me.
