This museum contains a decent collection of equipment and weapons used by both American and German forces during that period. There are a few vehicles out back including a Sherman and mock Tiger I turret which you don't get to see too often. The large scale dioramas in the basement was quite interesting, chronicling specific engagements on a miniature scale. A few areas felt somewhat lacking though, like simple photos with a few lines of text on a plain white wall (almost something you see on a wiki page), I feel this might improve in the future with more interest to this location. That said, while this museum is far from being the best, it's still a must for any WWII enthusiasts and worth the $5 admission price. Go check it out!
Really detailed history here. The dioramas are worth seeing.
Very informative. Wasn't expensive at all. Loved all the info, pics and displays!! Grandkids learned a LOT about the war!!! Highly recommend to every age!! People need to see this so history doesn't repeat. They are adding new displays so will be visiting again.
Great displays, very informative, amazing artifacts
I will have to say, there was a lot more to this museum than I originally expected. Didn't appear to have much space, but actually takes up about 3 floors of the building. While I do think their outdoor tanks could use a good deal of maintenance, they had some very interesting exhibits inside. I wished I had a little more time to look them over, but being with a 6 year old meant we barely stopped for 30 seconds even at the interesting stuff. He and I both found their miniature battle scenes pretty impressive. I will try to go back again sometime soon without the little one.
