This was so good! We are from Michigan and are on our honeymoon so this was our first time here. There was plenty for my husband and I to share and have left overs! This was the city sampler with hush puppies and mac and cheese as sides. They even brought us a fresh mac and cheese after this picture was taken because he said we had the last of the old batch so wanted to give us a fresh one! Customer service and food was great! Can't wait to come back. Oh and my husband had banana pudding he said it was really good as well.

2000-current (2020)nSo I've been coming here since the 2000's possibly even the late '90's & sadly to say their quality of their brisket has declined. It's been hit or miss with this place (mostly miss). Lately (2018-current) I've been getting lukewarm/dry meat. Even the flavor has declined. Their fries are fresh cut & not bad. Their servings of brisket is small, quite frankly a rip off for what they charge. 1 brisket sandwich & fries will cost $11.64 total.nThere are many other choices out there. Will put off coming here for a while.nBrisket & fries now $12.70n....... . after putting off coming here for a while,nOn my recent visit lately 11-29-2020).

Always enjoy a meal at City Barbecue. Great food food good portions reasonably priced. I recommend the city sampler, enough food for 2 but I eat the whole thing myself.

Fantastic BBQ place. I got brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. Aside from the brisket being just a touch too dry on one side (not totally uncommon) the food was fantastic. The ribs were competition-worthy. I was shocked to learn this place has 40+ locations - the quality of food seemed like it was owned directly by someone very passionate about smoking quality meats. This will be a guaranteed stop every time we find one on a trip. You can't go wrong!

We had a great lunch at city barbecue. We both enjoyed pulled pork sandwiches, with a side of barbecue beans, so good. They have different flavor sauces, I enjoy the sweet.the pulled pork is very tender and delicious. I strongly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.
