Beautiful apartments indeed and the upkeep is very good.nWhen I left that apartment, I returned it to them the same way they gave it to me; extremely clean and intact. I was seeking to get my security deposit back of $1500. So I made sure to get someone to help me clean it up completely. I was only there for 8 months and was relying on the security deposit to get me into another place outside the city. When they went to do the final inspection, it turns out a superficial (one to two inch) scratch on the very top of the huge refrigerator, stripped me from a certain portion of the deposit (-$500). I was present during the inspection signed off on the document where they documented the ‘one’ scratch. When I received the check for deposit I found out they deducted around $1200+. When I requested a copy of the final inspection doc, I noticed they had scratched off what they wrote in front of me and wrote that both refrigerator doors were damaged. We all know that when doing any type of change or update on a document like that, you NEED to do it in front of the tenant and have the tenant initial consenting and being aware of the change. No. They did it after the fact and I found myself with no chance of getting the additional $500 that they took. In the eight months that I was there I paid them $12,000 including an additional $1,500 for deposit. When it came to returning the apartment to them, a superficial scratch and a shady move from their part, kept $1000. They spoke to me about integrity but when dealing with signed documents and the deposit involved, integrity played no part. My recommendation when renting here; carefully document every single minor detail of “damage” before moving in and request a copy of the first inspection document to keep for your personal records. I truly recommend doing that for those seeking to get their deposit back.nAside of this complaint and sad experience, this gated apartment complex is a nice place to stay at when renting in the great and mighty city of Weslaco.

I've been on the market for an apartment. I can honestly say these apartments are on my top 2. I just need to decided on a move in date. The way they look make me feel like I'm living upstate.

Villa Escondida and its serene touch of modernism with an industrial ingredient is by far the most contemporary spaces I have seen in the Rio Grand Valley. Its centered between McAllen & Harlingen and the location is in a peaceful and safe area. Here are some pictures I took while visiting open house. They are open 4-5PM on Weekdays
