We've enjoyed our experience at Field so far. The teachers are very invested in their students' success and the PTO is working hard to improve the building and add new enrichment programs. We believe in buying in to our neighborhood school and are pleased with the education my son has received.

I have a kindergartener at Field and it has been a good fit for us. The principal is always around and open to discuss any concerns. My child loves her teacher. My child progressed tremendously in the first 9 weeks. In regards to a previous post, all schools and teachers have to be certified and have to serve your child if he/she is Vanguard.nnThey have great enrichment activities. This year the students went to Old MacDonald's Farm for a field trip and my child loved it! The music teacher is really amazing. They also offer Writers in the Schools, the after school Art program and Recipes for Success, which uses the outdoor garden beds for nutrition education.nnSome of the issues that the school has are systemic and district-wide (no librarians, for example) and there definitely should be more help given for update and upkeep of our public schools and for after school pick-up traffic jams. The PTO and the community organization Friends of Field are trying to remedy some of these issues.

A terrible way to educate. It may be the Texas system but this is no way to teach. The head master has no back bone and cannot direct a pathway that makes for engaging schooling. Do not accept this awful way to educate.

Field Elementary is a great school. They have a top notch music teacher, Carolyn Davis who recognized state wide.
