Drove far to see this place after checking business hours. Knocked on door. No answer. Kept trying. Double checked hours. Online it showed they were open and wouldn’t close for 2 more hours. Kept knocking. Still no answer, tried door thinking you just walk in. Locked. It was beautiful from the outside, so I gave it two stars just for the outdoor beauty. Would have loved to see the inside. I drove far and would have appreciated correct hours.

Review is for non-successful visit a year before China pandemic allowed government-hires to force business closings. The Roberts House and Museum should have been open for visitors on the day and hour of attempted visit as per Google listing and the signage at C.S. Roberts House and Museum.nnHere is review:nnHours should be correctly posted on the Google listing and reliability should be there to greet visiting guests.nnDrove a lengthy round trip.nnArrived at 4:00 p.m.. No need to question that fact - it was 4:00 p.m. on a day when hours are posted as closing at 5:30 p.m.. Parked, walked up the walkway, and proceeded to ring the front doorbell. Bell was in working order. Rang sufficient amount of times and waited a sufficient amount of extended time.nnThere was no person who came to the door. Turned the front door knob. It was locked. There was no tour guide, no employee or volunteer present at the house.nnSame scenario can be read by another visitor's review.nnThe expectation for all potential visitors is reliable hours and available staff to greet visiting guests.nnAlso doing a quick perusal of the outside of the property shows the grounds need attention and cleanliness.nnThe Sherman way of low quality is too wide spread and should be adjusted to a standard of quality. Many Sherman area business do indeed have a standard of reliability and quality. Perhaps those persons could give lessons to the other persons on quality business practices and reliability.nnDo not count on the Google listing hours to be reliable:nnThursday 9:30AM - 5:30PMnFridayt 9:30Am - 5:30PMnSaturday 9:30AM - 2:00PMnSundayt 1:00 PM - 4:00PMnMondayt 9:30AM - 5:30PMnTuesdayt 9:30AM - 5:30PMnWednesdayt9:30AM - 5:30PM

Love this house. We are so thankful they have preserved it. The tour guide, Mary, was wonderful. She is such a delightful person! She shared so much history with us. Can't wait to take friends and family back to see ot again!
