I did a warranty claim through American Home shield. The plumber did a good job for what he worked on. He professional and courteous the most part. The main issue I had with the experience was on my master toilet there was a crack and he would not work on it. The cracked toilet was covered under home warranty. But is my very strong belief that he disqualified it so he could try to get more money as a side job. He said it was disqualified due to negligence. He didn't believe I did it but he put on the report anyway. The reason why I came to this conclusion is I called another plumber who has been in the industry awhile. He said plumbers will often do this on warranty claims. They'll try to make more money on the job if they can do it outside of the warranty claim pay. Be very careful whenever a plumber says it is not covered under warranty. They will try to slide one by you if you are not careful. Each service call is $75-125 so if you do another opinion and they find negligence you're out that money. Plumbers know this and we'll use this fee to hold hostage when trying to negotiate. if you're shopping for a plumber on your own dime I would not recommend this service.

Zack was totally respectful and went over and beyond to make sure I was satisfied before he left. AHS sent SDL Plumbing out to the house after I got the plumbing leaks squared away from the winter freeze. My toilets weren't flushing and needed to be fixed. Zack replaced the flush valves and bolts for the tanks, all while, being Covid-19 safe. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

Gary was very combative. From almost the moment he walked in he was curt, argumentative, and periodically raised his voice at me.(*1) I can only assume he doesn't like doing home warranty work, because his hostility was in place immediately.nnWhen I attempted to run through the list of problems, he kept trying to pick a fight with me over each item -- over whether there actually *Was* a problem or not, and over whether the warranty would cover said repair.(*2) I'm not sure why he was so determined to fight over the matter. He's not the one to determine what is and isn't covered, and neither am I. So when his job was simply to diagnose the issues and write up a report, why did he need to fight with me? At no point would I argue back. I hate conflict.nnHe was also very rushed and brusque when I directed his attention to each item and demonstrated the problem. More than once I had to call him back and politely ask him, again, to watch as I demonstrated the issue. All he would do otherwise was take a quick glance, declare that he didn't see anything wrong, or it wouldn't be covered by the warranty, and then walk off without bothering to examine the problem.nnGary trivialized all of my plumbing issues, raced aggressively through every evaluation, wrote up an incomplete report that further minimized each item, and treated the whole job like he was at war with me. He clearly didn't want to be here, and he made the whole experience upsetting and miserable.nnFootnotes:n(*1): He didn't actually apologize for raising his voice, but he did acknowledge that it was an accidental habit, complicated by hearing loss, and not intentionally directed at me.n(*2): Part of the problem was the warranty company's error. The rest was how Gary responded to their error. The warranty company's work order had been split into two. Gary's half of the work order only mentioned one problem, and didn't even list it properly. When I called the warranty customer service (while Gary was present), they acknowledged their error and asked him to include in his report an assessment of all the other problems, as they would dispatch him again later to cover those problems. Thus he really did need to pay attention as I pointed out each problem.

AHS sent out this company. I was a little bit worried because of other reviews. I will say I was very happy after working with Zach. Zach came out and was wonderful! He cleared a stoppage with a toilet, shower and sink. He was very professional and such a knowledgeable plumber. I think some of these other reviews might just be unhappy because American Home Shield doesn't cover everything which is not the plumbers fault. This company got me an appointment when they opened on Monday and my problem was fixed by 1pm. I highly recommend this company and I will be asking for this company to come out again if I need a plumber.

Had a leak in the garbage disposal, so I setup a ticket with American Home Shield. SDL called me the next morning to make an appointment for the following morning. A large 4 hour window, but with 2020 we're all home anyway. The plumber called about 15 minutes out from arriving, in the expected window. Was cordial on entry and got to work very quickly and finished it up in just a few minutes. He was courteous and wore a mask, as expected. Thanks!
