Gene Reed Elementary School

I went to this school my whole elementary life, and I loved every minute of it! Some people base their whole opinion on a bad experience, usually one they caused. I was a pretty good kid, so I didn't get into too much trouble. I love this school, and would definitely send my kids there.

We LOVE being REED OWLS!nWe feel lucky....nAs a parent and PTA Board member, I'm up at the school for various reasons. I see the staff and am amazed with their ability to make EVERY student feel special and cared about. Miss. Julie greets each of them with a smile and a kind word. What a great way to start the day. The students then go to their teachers who are prepared to fill their day with education sprinkled with encouragement. The specials teachers are the best is Allen!nTheir principles Mrs Miller and Dr.Ivy see to it that the school is a SAFE place to be. They are so positive and that is transferred to the students. They find the children's strength and build on that. Never do they dwell on negativity!nThe staff as a whole, offer so many opportunities for your child to standout and when they do, That child is recognized which leads them to wanting to be the best they can be and that begins a domino effect. What's better then setting a positive example?nOur school is clean because of our amazing custodians. Our lunches are hot and prepared with love.nOur safety drills are efficient. I know when I drop my son off, he is going to be safe and he is going to have a GREAT day! That helps me to go to work without worry and to have a GREAT day tooud83dude0anI'm honored to be one of the MANY wonderful parents of Reed Elementary. The sign up list to make cookies or to go on a field trip, to help in the classroom or an event always get filled up. Our PTA works hard to help the school grow in the community, raise money for extra fun and to honor our staff and students with special goodness.nI'm a PROUD owl. Happy to be in the REED family!

Awesome Admin, Staff, Students and Parents! Blessed to be apart of such a wonderful community of People. We Absolutely love the diversity of Reed Elementary.

Hello. I am an ex-student of Reed. It destroyed me. All of the kids swear, and if you're different or have a mental problem, like autism, they leave you out. Not only that, but the teachers are VERY rude, and so is the faculty. I hated this school. They denied that I had my mental-problems. Don't go here if you have low self-esteem. One of the teachers insulted me. Honestly, I'm happy at my new school. They're only nice to parents, just so their reputation is high.

Ms. Pearson is the best Kindergarten teacher in the world!!!
