The only place I’ve ever lived where the police are truly part of the community and here to serve and protect the island and it’s inhabitants. This is coming from somebody who has always had an us versus them mentality concerning authority in any shape. Our cops are good people. If you act like an idiot they will treat you as one but that’s on you.

Officer Pennington needs to be replaced. Wow must be nice to be paid to sleep on the job. Look how unprofessional, rude and disrespectful these officers are by watching accountability for all on youtube.

I regularly visit the Texas coast but make it a point to avoid surfside.overly aggresive police is about the nicrst way i can put it

This department allows their patrolmen to sleep in their SUVs while they are on active duty! All this while on the taxpayers dime. I have called and spoken to the LEO on duty, and he says that his guys are overworked and so they are allowed to sleep while they are on duty. This seems strange that they would allow this to happen.
