My former-medic wife and I wanted to stop here on our honeymoon and there is nothing on the website saying the museum is currently closed to the public. Quite the disappointing discovery after driving several hours across Texas. Calling for more information has also gotten nothing but a ringtone despite the clearly marked operating hours. Most unfortunate.
Although currently closed to the public, the staff is improving the exhibits, for a better visitor experience.
Lots of really good exhibits and displays. Very interesting. Outdoor displays include helicopters, tracked vehicles and a train. Well worth visiting while in San Antonio.
The staff are extremely knowledgeable! My first trip here was 10 years ago and the exhibits are the same. Could really use some updating and new stuff to see.
Very cool! Check out the medic train while you're there!
