This is my absolute favorite salon ever!!! I’ve been going here since Johanna opened the salon, and I love love love it. She’s done my spray tans multiple times, and has done my makeup for a few events and it looked incredible!! I super recommend the airbrush foundation- you’ll look like a star! I frequently visit this salon and Gisell does my Brazilian blowouts, which always look amazing. She also always gives me the best hair care tips and the cutest cuts. I stayed away from face framing for a long time after getting a horrible cut when I was younger, but now I do it almost every time because she nails it!! I drive back from where I go to college to get my hair done here, and the drive is always so worth it! Love makeup maven and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a salon in San Antonio!

If you want to have a new and fresh look, book Johanna as soon as you can. She has created her own makeup line and knows her stuff! She's professional, knowledgeable, and has the heart of a teacher along with the eye of an artist. And, she listens. She will use drawings, explanations and interaction to thoroughly explain to you the how and why of everything cosmetic to bring out your unique and natural beauty. I learned three new game changers I can hang on to so I can feel confident and ready for every day.

Johanna is amazing!!! She offered me great tips for makeup before I left for college sorority rush. She also brought a team and came to our hotel for my senior year debutant presentation. My mom and I loved her services and felt so beautiful that night. Johanna is one of the most talented, hard working, friendly, and professional people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. Her spray tans are the best in town and my makeup and hair have never looked better. Mario for hair I also recommend. He’s the bomb, so upbeat and always knows what to do with your hair. I highly recommend Maven Salon. It is tucked neatly away on Broadway and is such a convenient location for Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills, and Olmos Park. It is a hidden treasure in San Antonio and everyone should book with them. Always clean and quiet. It’s really a treat to go get pampered there and I feel that their pricing is so affordable for all services. I cannot wait to have them do my wedding one day! 10 stars.

This place has absolutely the best service I couldn’t be happier! Outstanding quality hair care with easy and outright prices. I’ve had my makeup done, my teeth whitened, spray tan, hair color, hair cut and hair styled and I can’t say enough about Makeup Maven. I love this place and this is now my permanent spot for all my salon: They go above and beyond my expectations. Also, I will be using them for my wedding hair and makeup along with my bridesmaids and I’m stress free knowing the quality of services we will get!!!! Makeup Maven doesn’t disappoint.

I highly recommend Makeup Maven! I came to them (nearly) last minute for my wedding makeup and hair and they were able to work with me and my schedule. They were professional and I felt like I was in good hands the entire time. The day of the wedding they even came to my hotel to do my and my MOH's makeup/hair.nDespite the fact that I only had vague ideas about how I wanted my hair and makeup, Lori and Joann were amazing and in the end I looked absolutely stunning! I have significantly oily skin and whatever magic they used kept me shine-free for over 12 hours. My husband was floored when he saw me walk down the aisle and I honest to God felt like a princess! I can't thank them enough and I will definitely be using them again!
