They keep Memphis out of Bartlett, so don't complain if you got pulled over for going 15 over, or failing to stop completely at a stop sign, or having a brake light missing. They may let it slide in Memphis, but they joke around here in Bartlett. If you want to be a citizen here, you better obey the law and show some respect to your community. The Bartlett Police Department has my full support. Been a resident here since I was in the crib.

They're good guys. Let me off with a warning twice on issues related to my car and I got them fixed right away. Honestly I was getting upset just because they chose something trivial to pull me over for but they seem rather courteous and they didn't shoot me so that's a plus.

Today my car broke down at the corner of Yale and Summer. Officer Gary Mack and a Captain that sadly I missed his name came to our rescue. I had my 86 year old mother in law with me, she has alzheimers , my grand daughter who is 5 , my sister, and my son. It was horribly hot. They were AMAZING. Not only did they get our car out of he intersection after jumping the vehicle off, they offered us a ride to sub station to wait in the ac. We declined as I did have help on the way. While we were waiting for our help Officer Hooper also stopped and offered his assistance . Thank you, all of you for your kindness, generosity, and over all your help. You three gentleman were our hero's for today.nOnce again, I sadly didn't get the Captains name but I would love for him to be acknowledged for his out of the way help he extended to us. What an amazing department you have there. A thankful citizen

The process is extremely slow and random. There's a line that goes out the door. You wait to pass through the metal detector. This line only moves according to thpace that the next line moves. The next line that you wait in is giving your name to an officer that sits at a desk who checks your name against a docket. Then he puts your name on a piece of paper and puts it into a stack, according to your charge on the ticket. There are about 5 stacks. Then you're told to have a seat in the court room. A different officer comes out to collect the stacks according to the pace that the lawyer inside the courtroom is moving. People with lawyers take priority. People with suspended license tickets are the ABSOLUTE LAST to be called. All costs must be paid that day. If you need time to pay, you're allotted up to 30 days. BUT NOT ON SUSPENDED LICENSE TICKETS, it all has to be paid at once OTHERWISE you have to come to court every Wednesday until you've acquired your license.
