Fun place to visit! Some of the guides are really good about explaining the history and stories.
There were several little houses to explore and a blacksmith on-site making spoons. Outhouses, us military wagons, several items depicting pioneer life, a schoolhouse complete with non electronic games. My kids not only got an education but thoroughly enjoyed it. They did a scavenger hunt and got butterscotch suxkers.
Very nice volunteers and great stories. The buildings all had history behind them and hand on stuff for kids.
Amazing location to visit with friends and family. I visited with my husband. The services is quite well!!
I'm not sure why the newer review from 2016 isn't included. This site is wonderful and family first! You want to keep in mind that it is run and maintained completely by volunteers so don't expect slick or polished. This isn't Colonial Williamsburg!The site has a wealth of historical buildings and accessories to view close up,
