Holiday Inn Express & Suites Memphis Arpt Elvis Presley Blvd

I would have given 5 stars if not for a few quirks, the main one being not being able to use the room we had reserved. The hotel is supposedly smoke free but the king room we reserved reeked of cigarettes. They claimed there were no king rooms available so we were given a double instead. The double room we got had a broken door that wouldn't lock and the toiletries in the shower were empty. The price was reasonable though and the location was fantastic, 15 minutes to Beale St and 5 minutes to Graceland.

Didn't feel safe, chose not to stay, when I pulled up there were people wandering around, there was a car up on jack stands being worked on. When I went in there was no attendant, a sign said call this number for service, I called, and it rang the hotel phone, I tried twice over a 15 minute period with no answer and no attendant. So I decided to go elsewhere. Probably a really good choice, now I see why it was only rated two stars, that should have been my first clue.

Super clean and new. We received great service at this hotel. Great place to stay near Graceland.

Do not stay at this hotel, worst hotel I’ve ever been to. Stayed in Room 209 non smoking room stayed for multiple days, extra mattress was covered in stains, hall had a smell of marijuana, shower curtain had stains, the 3 shower shampoo’s had a smell of cigarettes, there was only 1 employee that knew how to watch the front desk and be aware of guests terrible guest service except for that 1 employee, every employee had poor attitudes with no friendliness, all employees acted as if they didn’t want to be there. Also seems like the area has a high crime rate since they feel the need to have fences with locks all over making the area this hotel is located appear unsafe. Very strange that out of all the employees during my stay that were around(10-15) they were all black so this hotel management may have some racial favoritism as well. Do not visit this hotel.

AVOID THIS PROPERTY! Gross, dirty rooms. Horrible, rude staff. Lots of dead bugs, sticky floors, strange odors, dirty linens. Looking at reviews on another site and the hotel responds to unsatisfied customers by being argumentative. Typically Holiday Inn Express has consistent cleanliness and quality service. This property, however, is definitely not up to standards.
