Super 8 by Wyndham Memphis/Dwtn/Graceland Area

I had a wonderful experience here at super 8 motel. The staff are wonderful and will do everything they can take your stay comfortable. They even have a shuttle to take you places and its way cheaper than a cab. The driver of the shuttle is wonderful and very friendly. They have really nice rooms and have a laundry facility for guests to use and has elevators to get you up and down to the rooms but they are antique and can be a little worrisome if your not used to them. They offer breakfast, and have a outdoor pool, a fitness center and snacks and drink machines. It has a great view of cars driving on the old bridges and has a metal museum behind it, and also you can see the trains in front of the building going down the railroad tracks. The motel is also pet friendly. All in all it was a excellent experience. I will stay here again if I have to come to Memphis in the future.

If I could rate them strictly on customer service and experience I would give them 5 stars all day ! It's family run. The staff is so nice! They even have a shuttle service for super cheap to take you where you need to go downtown. Unfortunately the actual property is awful. The building is very old and run down. You can tell that they are doing the best they can to make upgrades as funds become available, so I'll give them credit for that, but in all honesty my room (despite being decorated nicely) was run down and damaged. It's not worth the price I paid. There were racks in the wall and at the base of the whirlpool tub. You can tell the walls had water damage. There were weird drip stains all over the walls and painted over air bubbles. Whoever cleaned the room is not a professional cleaner because I noticed a few things left uncleaned/overlooked (there were food remnants in the microwave and the fridge wasn't cleaned well) The room REEKED of bleach! The windows don't open, so the only way to air the room out was to leave the door open...and trust me, that's not something you want to do in that neighborhood (cringe). The toilet didn't flush properly. I didn't feel comfortable in the room until after wiping all the surfaces with chlorox wipes, especially after seeing the dirty fridge and microwave. It made me wonder what other areas weren't cleaned. Like I said the staff is amazing and based on the service alone I would give them 5 stars, but that whole property should be torn down and rebuilt, in my opinion. It's beyond repair.

For the price the stay was great. The room was clean, the area was quiet. Would stay again if again.

The name says Wyndham, but it's not a Wyndham. The duvet cover had burn holes in it. Mind you, this was labeled a non-smoking room. :(
