Hilton Memphis

Gayle deserves 5 stars. One of the lamps in my room needed a bulb. She was so quick to help at 1:30 am. I was up ready to work out then report to work at 4 am. The gym is a hazard. This hotel just needs to be renovated. The lobby gives you a false hope. I will say, I didn’t hear my neighbors. Also, the room was visibly cleaned. Although there were stains on the carpet and the toilet smelled bad. Visibly I could tell the room was cleaned.

So we checked in, I picked room 2205. The bathroom ceiling above the shower had stains and looked like a an apparent leak. The toilet also ran for like 20 minutes after flushing. So... I ask for another room. We get the room and go into the bathroom and see this. This is a 25 floor Hilton. Last time we stayed here the bathroom was dated but we gave it the benefit of the doubt. After these 2 rooms I'm stuck either dealing with it or be the guy that complains. I feel as though a major Hilton brand hotel should be better.....

For someone who drove 8 hours, you would think that the staff interaction was much better. We arrived 5 hours early and was not able to check in. My number was given to see if we were able to get the next available which the staff said 2:30 pm but there was no call received. My fiancee end up doing a self check in on the app because we received no call, the hold time was tremendously long, we did not feel welcomed for this stay. Part of the lights were out in the room, toilet stopped working after the second day of the stay. Just was so much goin on. Probably will not come back after the first impression. But the activities we did while in the state were great!

If you are a business traveler, the shuttle service only accommodates airline employees. Look elsewhere if you have a early morning flight.

I've been staying here a bunch for work. I was disappointed when they stopped offering free coffee at breakfast to diamond members. And then last night I had my worst experience. When I checked into the room I found my bathroom reeked of urine. The carpet was scary with some sticky spots near the desk. The worst was the neighbor who apparently was smoking marijuana in his room. The smoke came through clear as day through the divider door between rooms. When I told the lady at the front desk, I got the impression she didn't care at all. Needless to say, I will not be back to this location.nnAnother thing to add, the gym has been closed for 3 weeks due to a burst pipe. Fixing things is certainly not a priority at this location.
