Sheraton Memphis Downtown Hotel

Great location and The staff was super friendly especially the Valet worker! He went above and beyond for us! The rooms were clean and had very comfortable beds, but the air conditioning in our room did not work. It never got below 76 degrees in our room so it was miserable trying to sleep and get dressed. It was supposed to be 2 queen size beds but it’s was full size. The hot water in the shower took about 10 minutes to finally get hot, no robe in bathroom like was supposed to be. Breakfast was ridiculously expensive and not good. No pool or gym access right now, but other hotels around us had theirs open. Over all it was an okay stay no for just one night, but I feel like I could have had a better stay at a different hotel. We will not be staying there again.

Over all the stay was decent. The room was tidy but we got put in a wing that was being renovated. When we checked into our reserved and paid for room, we had to wait nearly four hours because they had given our room away. But we stayed calm and they made it right, so it turned out to be a good stay.

We booked our stay at the Sheraton Hotel on our way back home from a long road-trip. I didn't really have great expectations based on the projected rate (seemed cheap), but I was definitely pleasantly surprised.nnThe hotel is super easy to access from I-40, and really easy to get back onto. The valet parking is standard, and was $25 I believe.nnOur room was a Kind with Riverfront View, and it was exactly what we thought it would be. We had a great view of the Pyramid and River Bridge. The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. The bathroom was dated, but clean and very large (must have been a handicapped accessible room).nnWe ate and had drinks at the downstairs bar, which was very nice and convenient. The prices were high, but that's to be expected. The food was fresh and the drinks cold. The bartender was really nice, even though he was having to hustle due to being alone with a lot of patrons.nnAll in all, the hotel was a great experience. If we come back through Memphis, we will definitely look at this place first.

As much as I’d like to leave a good review, one portion of my trip ruined my outlook on not only the Sheraton, but Memphis as a whole. I visited for a quick dinner trip in November 2020. We used valet and sadly, after I arrived home I discovered that my firearm was missing from the glove compartment.nnI did not openly carry at all while in the city and didn’t even bring the gun inside my hotel room. It’s a shame that valet, a luxury, can’t be trusted. Although the rooms and bar are nice, I would not recommend.

I reserved a room for 4pm and when I arrived they told me 30 min until my room was ready. That 30 min turned into 4 hours and we still didn't get a room when I had already paid! There were multiple others that experienced this also . Only one worker and acted like she had no idea what was going on
