Visited again, because it’s a very peaceful, quiet, interesting place.nOnly difference, Mr York, Alvin’s son wasn’t there this time. He had some great stories.nThe photo of him is from my previous visit, and waterfall is from the mill pond.
Ranger Christian gave great presentation of the life and times of Alvin York. He was so much more than an WW1 hero. A must see place, American history ,Tennessee history at its finest !nBring them yougins' ,a place for them to enjoy !
Beautiful area! The Sgt. Alvin C. York home place and mill is definitely worth many visits! This was my first time. His life is inspiring.
The only cost is if you want to join a guided tour of the home - 5 dollars as of Jan 2021 for an informative 30-45 minute tour. Everything else is free.
$5.00 fee to tour home was well worth it. Our guide Christian was very enthusiastic and informative.
