At this location you can take guided tours of the York's homestead. Including the actual home, walk over to the Mill by the creek. The tour takes you inside the home for some interesting history. The WW1 trenches are very interesting. The actual gravesite can be reached two ways. Walking the 0.5 trail or drive over to the gravesite by the church. Beautiful will kept cementary surrounded by the hills and mountains where Sgt York hunted. Lot of history at the cemetery. Travel time from Knoxville is about 2 hours. This is a very scenic drive especially in October.

I would love to visit someday. My Great Grandfather from multiple generations back (Conrod Pile) is buried here. However, we ended up in Oregon in the 1880's from Daniel Pile (one of Conrod's sons).
