Athens City Police Department

Amazing men and women, whom i honor and respect sincerely. They have worked soo hard to keep this community safe for the children with so much compassion. Their jobs are hard and dangerous, and they sure don't get paid their worth. God Bless each and every one of our police officers!

I live nearby Cook Park, and there was a barbecue going on, which is all well and good, until the loud music on speakers started at 6pm. After a couple hours of this, I contacted the police in regards to this as this noise was excessive, especially in a residential neighborhood. They finally arrived, talked to the party for less than a minute. When the police left, the music was louder than before. After another neighbor contacted the police an hour or so later, they arrived almost 45 minutes later and stayed less than 5 minutes and the music just stayed as loud as ever. I contacted the police again and they said they would send someone out. Talking to these people for 2 minutes isn't doing the trick, obviously. Start citing them for the loud music in a residential neighborhood after 11pm, when the music was still going strong. Very disappointed in the police.

They were really gentle when they handcuffed me, the patrol car was nice a clean, officer was extremely professional, made my ride to the jail real pleasant with conversation,nnWill get arrested by them again.

Friend was being followed and when they met the police, the police took the man’s side and let him continue to follow her to Cleveland before she was able to get actual help. Some officers need to be fired as soon as possible, this kind of behavior is unacceptable.

Unless you being blackballed because an officer who.knows you and doesn't like you, or like being harassed every day for months because of false allegations, stay away from these clowns. Once searched my hotel room(without a warrant) because of a so-called tip and of course they didn't find anything. Wonder why they are overcompensating. Crooked as they come. Guess i will see them later, lol.
