Closed, did see the owls and red tail hawk on display, alive and seemed well.nnLake was surrounded by thick algae mat... Mat over an inch thick. Like sod and woven. Let it dry and you got cloth.nnPark was run down as a whole. Badly needed work.
My experiences at the Nature Center have been very positive. The rangers who staff it are very kind and welcoming.nnThe nature center is very nice with a men's and women's bathrooms each with a few stalls. There is also a aviary that is currently being renovated and several tables and benches outside.nnInside there is air conditioning and also a 3D map of the park. There are a large number of animals inside, although it fluctuates.
Nice nature center. Clean bathrooms with soap. Owls & Hawks outside in cages. AC in center. Picnic, grills & play area outside. Park rangers give nature lessons inside.
Went to the night hike, got to see frogs, snakes and spiders. Eric was the ranger and did a great job.
Fall festival. Only a few vendors with items to sell, which was good cause I still spent too much money! Cannon fire!!!! Moment of silence for our lost Veterans. Kids learning archery. It was a fun family event.
